Busy Season

Well, I'm in one of the busy seasons right now.  Probably, the busiest.  Since we get like 8 or 9 months of Spring/Summer weather 'round here, people always seem to need more clothes for this season.  Not to mention, I do more for my own girls.  Throw graduation and teacher gifts on top of that, and there's a lot going on!  Here are some fun projects I've completed recently . . .

We're lovin' this new sleeveless frill shirt from monag . . .

Cute coordinates for sister/brother . . .

Also, cute for the 4th without being solely "4th of July-ish".

{Hint:  You'll be seeing something similar for my girls to coordinate with cousin Ethan}

Another set of siblings will be donning these cuties . . .

Twin boys and their big sister are sure to look cute!
And the rest of these are for my girls . . .

Grandmomma made these pink shorts and Evynne was dying to have THIS fish with THIS fabric . . .

I got this dress at a Hollywood Baby sample sale for $5 a couple of years ago.  We added the ribbon sash and monogram to give it some color . . .
This one's for Elly . . .

Lovin' this ice cream cone.  You'll be seeing it several times in the coming posts.  It's a great one to do when you only have a small piece of fabric to work with.  In this case, I only had a little fabric that matched these shorts, so this was the perfect design!

And Grandmomma also made these capris for Little Bit . . .

I've had that cute fabric since Evynne was two and we're just now using it!
And lastly, a popsicle shirt for Elly to coordinate with Evynne's {shown a few posts back} . . .
Still, much more to come!

new fabric

SO have a problem.

I went to the new local fabric store to buy two, yes TWO, pieces of ribbon ricrac trim and left with all of the above cuts of fabric in addition. Notice, I did buy one "boy" fabric. I could've bought about 5 or 6 others, but then, that would've been really ridiculous. I have to pace myself. In my defense though, I bought several of these with specific projects in mind for my girls. I know I will use them all. Cute, huh?!

my girls, your girls

Every season it happens. I insist on trying to make cute clothes instead of buying more and end up with SO much to do for my girls. I have to weave my projects in with all of my customer orders to make sure it all gets done. And to be honest, sometimes my girls' stuff just doesn't get done. Here are some of my projects thus far for this season . . .

Walmart Garanimals shirts for playing. I paired them with cute skorts I also found at Walmart for Evynne and shorts/capris I already had for Elly. Both girls also have the shirt below with yellow bottoms . . .

These are tops with matching capris that mom and I found at least a year ago at an overstock sale . . .

I love them! And since I do so much, I have to keep it simple sometimes. These red shirts are going with turquoise gingham bottoms (I LOVE red and turquoise!!!) . . .

These tops are going with brown gingham shorts . . .

Can you tell I'm a bit obsessed with this ribbon ricrac trim?! This won't be the last time you see it either!

And here are some other girl projects that were interwoven with my girls' projects . . .

{LOVE the popsicles from Applique Cafe. I did this same shirt for Evynne although this one was for a friend. You may remember another top I did for Evynne with that middle popsicle fabric. Grandmomma made her capris out of it and I just really love that fabric!!!}

That's it for now, but I'm still sewing like crazy. Pretty soon I'll be doing a Kelly's Kids Coordinates post. I've been working on lots of tops to match Kelly's Kids bottoms, etc. Fun stuff!

let's hear it for the boys

Been sewin' for some boys lately. I guess it comes in waves. Of the 7 boys I've sewn for, 4 of them are named Ethan. Kinda crazy. The first Ethan belongs to a long-time customer. We designed some cute outfits for him together . . .

The 2nd Ethan belongs to a sweet friend of mine and has a twin brother, David. I did a couple of things for them . . .

The third Ethan is, of course, my nephew. Aunt Erin said he was seriously in need of "some cute Aunt Robyn clothes". Hopefully, I delivered {she provided the shorts and some of the shirts. I just did the rest} . . .

And the fourth Ethan belongs to a new friend in my Bunco group. We covered an existing monogram on this jonjon she found at a consignment sale . . .

I did some sewing for Cooper {you've seen many things for him on this blog if you follow it} . . .

{I'm really starting to loves these mini fill stitched designs!!!}

And lastly, I made a shirt for Noah before he and his family headed to Disney for Spring Break . . .

Let's hear it for the boys!!!
