my girls, your girls

Every season it happens. I insist on trying to make cute clothes instead of buying more and end up with SO much to do for my girls. I have to weave my projects in with all of my customer orders to make sure it all gets done. And to be honest, sometimes my girls' stuff just doesn't get done. Here are some of my projects thus far for this season . . .

Walmart Garanimals shirts for playing. I paired them with cute skorts I also found at Walmart for Evynne and shorts/capris I already had for Elly. Both girls also have the shirt below with yellow bottoms . . .

These are tops with matching capris that mom and I found at least a year ago at an overstock sale . . .

I love them! And since I do so much, I have to keep it simple sometimes. These red shirts are going with turquoise gingham bottoms (I LOVE red and turquoise!!!) . . .

These tops are going with brown gingham shorts . . .

Can you tell I'm a bit obsessed with this ribbon ricrac trim?! This won't be the last time you see it either!

And here are some other girl projects that were interwoven with my girls' projects . . .

{LOVE the popsicles from Applique Cafe. I did this same shirt for Evynne although this one was for a friend. You may remember another top I did for Evynne with that middle popsicle fabric. Grandmomma made her capris out of it and I just really love that fabric!!!}

That's it for now, but I'm still sewing like crazy. Pretty soon I'll be doing a Kelly's Kids Coordinates post. I've been working on lots of tops to match Kelly's Kids bottoms, etc. Fun stuff!

initials

Obviously, with what I do, I do a lot of initials. Recently, I did several with the little dots on either side of the first initial . . .

It's a nice way to change things up for me since I do so many monogrammed things for my own girls . . .

How simple and cute to go with these Kelly's Kids tights . . .

The applique initial is also a popular favorite for customers . . .

One of my favorite fonts, sunny . . .

I wish pictures of navy didn't look so bad! And finally, just a simple monogram on a white shirt . . .

This is a great way to get one shirt to go with lots of things!

{In case you wondering what I've been up to, I'm currently about 2/3 of the way done with 17 sweatshirts for a Christmas parade!}

ease ;

Got this cute Hannah Kate outfit at the Hope for Gabe consignment sale. I was so happy it was blank and I could put an E on it!

I'm working on doing better about having more than one top to go with each pair of cute pants so I also made this top to go with them . . .

Not my favorite E, but since I do so many, I like to change it up. This is the Flamingo font.

We also had this dress that was a hand-me-down that just needed a little something . . .

I love this Hollywood Baby romper that Aunt Malli gave Elly . . .

And this is just a Garanimals turtleneck from Walmart. Under $4 a piece people. It's going with some bright blue cords for Evynne . . .

I've had this Sweet Varsity applique font for awhile and finally found a way to use it!

I really like this new Mia patch too!

These shirts are just for everyday wearing with lime frill pants, jeans, whatever.

You can never go wrong with the Dotty applique font!

I've been slowly working all of these projects for my girls in with the many orders I've been working on. I still have TONS to do since the majority of their wardrobes this season involved an applique or monogram! I can't believe I'm about to have to do Christmas stuff.

more big girls

We are still waiting on some size 10 monag shirts to come in, but until they do, I think I've finished the last of the big girl stuff . . .
