it's been almost a month!

I can't believe almost a month has past since I last posted photos!  It's been a busy month with lots of sickness at our house, unfortunately.  Hopefully, we can stay well for awhile now!  My big girl turned 6 on October 18th and this is what she designed for her birthday shirt . . .
She wanted a six, "almost as big as the shirt with a girl up top".  My, my.  High maintenance!  Boys, beware.  She did look cute in it though with her turquoise Kelly's Kids tutu skirt.
I managed to squeeze in a couple of other projects for my own, but the "to do" stack is still huge!  This was Evynne's three years ago and had just a green "E" on it.  The Gymboree shirts, however, do not do great with monograms I've learned and several holes had formed around the "E".  So, I covered it up with this and we're good to go! . . .
Since it was the week before we were heading to Auburn for the game, I HAD to make time to do Elly's dress to match Evynne's I posted awhile back . . .
Evynne also designed this dress almost entirely.  She picked the design and fabrics and wanted "war eagle on it".  I picked the font and hair fabric.  That's about it.
When I ordered the orange and blue dresses from Chez Ami's daily dealie, a friend of mine ordered this brown one for her older daughter . . .
The big girls are all about the tiger stripes and peace signs!  I love how this uncoventional turkey turned out too . . .
It's fun to shake things up every now and then :)
This was a customer's consignment purchase that needed a little something . . .
She liked the patch like this in my previous post so this time, we did it intentionally!
I always love this layered flower . . .

I have a boy post coming soon and hope to finish up the Kelly's Kids Fall/Winter 2012 coordinates soon and post that as well!

Can I Get A Woop Woop?!

Three reasons.  1.  Football season is here.  2. Fall weather is setting in.  3.  I bought 5 new fonts!!!
You may remember this new Aubie design from my post a few weeks ago.  Unfortunately, my own girls did not want this one this year, but I'm glad a friend did!  So cute!!!

In that same post of new designs with Aubie, I also had this pumpkin embellishment.
A customer gave me the chance to try it out and I love it!  Shown here with the new elegant font I bought last month.  She is doing these for teacher "happies" with some pumpkin bread.  Awesome idea!  I may copy.

And 'round here we do short sleeve shirts for October . . .
Love this pumpkin, but you won't find it listed with my other pumpkins.  It's from Planet Applique, which does not allow me to copy/paste design photos.
A friend of mine gave me this cute idea for my girls -- pink & black spider shirts! . . .
I had the pink & black fabric laying around and thought it would be the perfect chance to use it.  I always love this hot pink dot fabric, too.  Grandmomma came through for us with another cute skirt!
Elly has black gingham pants already, so she got the fuschia shirt to coordinate . . .

I've been working on some long sleeved things all along to try and be prepared, you know, for when it gets cold two months from now :)
A friend of mine made these cute pants for her little girl and needed the perfect top . . .

A cute outfit for a first birthday girl . . .

This layered flower may be one of my all-time favorite designs . . .

My sister requested this tie design for my nephew . . .
I did this tie on a onesie when he was an infant and he hasn't had it since then.  {He's almost four now!}
A couple of months ago, this font was the closest I had to what's in the Kelly's Kids catalog . . .
It looks nice and I like it, but I decided when the font store had a sale, I'd buy the exact font that Kelly's Kids uses.  It's great for boys!  Introducing, Library . . .

I had a few other things on my wish list that I also purchased.  Cotillion (commonly known as fishtails) . . .

girly things

As usual, I've done lots of sewing for girls over the past month.  This little cutey is 3-6 month size . . .

Though you may be thinking 4th of July, this little bit's daddy is headed off to Iraq in the next month and she is wearing this for a special ceremony.

But before that, she will be wearing the smallest of these flip flop shirts to coordinate with her bigger cousins at the beach . . .

Speaking of beach . . .

SO sweet!

And I had to do a few things for my own girls before we went to the beach too . . .
Evynne has a yellow knit skort and Elly has capris to go with these.

And then of course we always have to have the white dress for beach pictures . . .

I was so lucky to find this at a Hollywood Baby sample sale for $5.  Yes, $5!  I think the regular price on it was something in the $80 range.  It was the only one and it was a size 5.  And guess what?!  It is the exact same dress I had in a 2 for Elly because Evynne had worn it three years ago.  Now that was a great find.  All it needed was a sweet monogram.
And some people are already thinking football . . .

LOVE this design for little girls!

Can you tell what my favorite fabric/color scheme has been for the spring summer?! . . .

And then lastly, a couple more for my girls to match the skirts Aunt Malli knitted for them . . .

I ADORE this new polka dot fabric and this precious design!
